On Monday, Jan.6, the Journalism Education Association announced the winner of the 2013 Yearbook Adviser of the Year contest.

And guess what? We know and love her!?

Congratulations to Brenda Gorsuch, yearbook adviser at West Henderson High School in Hendersonville, NC! Brenda has been on the faculty of YearbookNV for the last three years, and we are so happy for her. This honor is well deserved and long overdue.?

We’d also like to congratulate Meghan Percival, adviser at McLean High School, for being named one of three Distinguished Advisers. In addition, Erinn Harris, adviser at Thomas Jefferson, was named one of four Special Recognition Advisers. As I said, greatness abounds in our yearbook family.?

And if you need one more not-so-casual plug for YearbookNV 2014, Jed Palmer, our photography instructor extraordinaire from Sierra Middle School in Colorado was also named a Distinguished Adviser. Remember, YearbookNV 2014 starts July 29. You’ll want to be there!
